TT (Denny) Yang
Denny is a final-year PhD student in the Balmus Lab, specialising in cell and molecular biology.
They completed their BSc with honours, investigating the molecular basis of arrhythmia in mice, followed by an MPhil focused on nuclear envelope defects in ageing biology.
Their current research focuses on Huntington’s disease, particularly MSH3 biology. They are developing tractable tools to investigate the kinetics of CAG repeat expansion and the cis effects of CAG repeat length on disease pathogenesis.
Their research is funded by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan and the Cambridge Trust.
